Found in the quaint village of Attard, one can find the charming and one of the most beautiful gardens in Malta, with a beautiful variety of flowers and plants.  The garden has been open to the public since 1882 and was built by Grand Master Antoine de Paule, to complement his summer residence. 

This garden surrounds the beautiful Presidential Palace; San Anton Palace was the official residence of the British Governor from 1802 until 1964. After that the Palace remained as a state building, till today, as it is the residence of the President of Malta. 

The garden has several walkways that take you through the green gardens where you will discover fountains, ponds with families of ducks and several plants and flowers such as roses, Bougainvillea, Norfolk, Araucarias as well as other trees from all over the world some of them over three centuries old. San Anton Gardens are surrounded by walls giving the park a rustic and private atmosphere.
